VENDANGES 2007
L’hiver fut particulièrement sec et chaud, ce qui a engendré une avance exceptionnelle dans les vignobles. La floraison eut lieu avec trois semaines d’avance. Ensuite le cycle végétatif de la vigne a été ralenti à cause des conditions plutôt fraîches et pluvieuses de l’été, nous n’avions alors plus que deux semaines d’avance. La quantité de raisins est par conséquent légèrement en dessous de nos attentes.
Ces rendements diminués ainsi que la précocité de la vigne, nous ont assuré une vendange de qualité. Les journées ensoleillées de ce début de septembre ont garanti une fin de maturation idéale.
Nos vendanges 2007 ont commencé le 10 septembre sous un grand soleil avec des températures chaudes. Nous avons débuté par les Pinot noir, plus mûrs et avons choisi d’attendre avant de récolter les Sauvignon blanc ; afin d’obtenir un meilleur équilibre sucre/acidité.

THE 07 HARVEST
Winter was particularly dry and hot. Thus, nature was exceptionally in advance in the vineyard. The blossoming took place three weeks earlier than usual. Then, the vegetative cycle of the vine has slowed down because of the quite cold and rather rainy summer weather conditions. At that time, we were only two weeks earlier than usual. Consequently, the volume of the harvest is slightly below our expectation.
These reduced yields added to the earliness of the vine have guaranteed the quality of the grapes. The sunny days of the beginning of September have helped to reach an ideal maturation.
Our 07 harvest started on the 10th of September under a beautiful sunshine added to warm temperatures. We started first by harvesting the Pinot noir grapes, which were riper than the Sauvignon blanc, and we have chosen to wait before harvesting the Sauvignon blanc; in order to get a better balance between sugar/acidity.

18/20 au Guide Fleurus pour le Sancerre Blanc Le Grand Rochoy
Le Sancerre Blanc "Le Grand Rochoy" a obtenu la note de 18/20 au Guide Fleurus 2005. Une excellente note qui vient couronner cette grande cuvée issue de vieilles vignes. Issu des vignes les plus enracinées du Domaine du Rochoy, cette prestigieuse sélection dévoile une élégance et un caractère très singuliers. Un vin d'une garde exceptionnelle.

Le Prix des Vinalies 2006 décerné au Sancerre Blanc "La Cresle"
Ce Prix des Vinalies vient couronner un Sancerre Blanc que l'on aime savourer pour sa jeunesse et son fruit. Le mot "Cresle" provient de craie. Le terroir privilégié sur lequel ces fruits ont poussé est situé en amont des coteaux exposés au sud - sud-ouest. Vous pouvez accompagner ce Sancerre Blanc de fruits de mer, poissons ou bien de fromage de chèvre : à vous de jouer !

Our White Sancerre "La Cresle" received the "Prix des Vinalies 2006". A great award for this fruity White Sancerre, particularly appreciated in its youth. This wine comes from a chalky soil called "caillottes". Sauvignon fruit reveals wonderful aromas of white flowers. You will be charmed by the blend of freshness and suppleness in the mouth. Nous avons l'honneur de vous confirmer que notre Sancerre blanc le "Grand Rochoy" 2002 a reçu la note de 78,76/100 au Concours mondial de Bruxelles 2006 et notre Sancerre blanc le "Domaine du Rochoy" 2004 a reçu la note de 77,66/100. Ces vins prestigieux ont été sélectionnés parmi 5447 échantillons au total. Ce célèbre concours récompense les meilleurs vins du monde.
Le "Grand Rochoy" revèle une grande finesse aromatique et vous étonnera par son amplitude, sa personnalité et son équilibre savoureux.
Notre "Domaine du Rochoy" présente une robe claire aux superbes reflets dorés. Il exprime toute la complexité d'un grand terroir. En bouche, il est riche, rond et élégant, avec une subtile minéralité.
